What is meetup day? Everything you need to know

We get a lot of questions about Meetup Day, so we figured: why not just answer them all in one place?

• Can I come alone? Yes! And honestly, most people do. That's kind of the whole point. We started Meetup Day because we know it can be hard to find people to play with, especially if you're new to Eindhoven. So we created a night where you just show up and we handle the rest. People come alone all the time and end up staying.
• What if I don't know any of the rules? No stress at all. Our Game Gurus are there the whole evening to help you pick something and explain how it works. You don't need to prepare anything or read a rulebook beforehand. Just come as you are.
• Do I have to be into board games already? Nope! We've got everything from super simple party games to heavier strategy stuff. When you arrive, we just ask what you're in the mood for and match you with a table and a game that fits. It's a lot more chill than it sounds.
• How do I join a table? Just walk in and look for the Meetup Tables, or say hi to one of us when you arrive. We'll make sure you find a spot and people to play with. Think of us as the matchmakers of the evening, but for board games.
• What time should I arrive? Our meetup officially begins around 18:00. We typically start with shorter, casual games while everyone arrives and settles in. Around 19:00, once we have a final headcount, we'll split into groups to either launch into some larger games or continue with the smaller ones.
• When is it? Meetup Day alternates weekly between Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, 18:00 to 23:00. Check our events page to see which day is up next!
